Hey, I’m Taylor (@HeyTaylorGage)! I’m a multimedia artist and printmaker based in Culver City!
If you’ve made it here you probably know me either from sharing my art process online, my many in-person markets in (and around) Los Angeles or maybe from my Etsy shop. Any way you found me- I’m so glad you’re here!
This particular project of mine started in 2023 as a few humble tee shirts printed by hand for a friend’s band, and sold at a backyard show. I soon was off, and making my own designs! After listing them online and orders started trickling in I realized I might be onto something. Printing between shifts at my bakery job, the work was somehow familiar. And when in December 2024, I got laid off from said bakery job - I knew it was time to truly give it my all.
I started doing in-person markets, and made perfecting my market setup a second passion! I roped my poor husband into making me wooden displays (which I still get complimented on all the time btw) and learned how to use social media to share my process to connect with people all over the world. And now I’m printing on all sorts of things: from my original tee shirts to tons of secondhand clothing. All of these are really accessible one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces at approachable price points.
For all the garments in my shop I try to source quality secondhand finds in predominantly natural materials so that all my original pieces will hopefully last a long time while still looking good, and feel good to wear with our planet in mind. I tend to pick cuts that are gender ambiguous (and therefore more versatile) and always try to source with inclusive sizing in mind.
Trying to make good and do good:
Misprinted items are donated to local charities and all items ship in eco friendly packaging.
